Photographer - Lina Bertucci
Lina Bertucci is a widely acclaimed photographer. Working in the field for over twenty years, Lina’s photographs have been published in Life, Time, Forbes, Entertainment Weekly, The Village Voice, Vogue, Vanity Fair as well as other international publications. Her music album covers are featured by Sony Music, CBS Masterworks and EMI.
Lina's photographic works are widely exhibited in the United States and Europe. Her first solo show in New York opens next Fall 2005 at the Perry Rubenstien Gallery with a book release and exhibition of artists portraits shot between 1988-1995. Lina is also represented by Rhona Hoffman Gallery where she exhibited a new body of large-scale photographs in 2002.
Stanford University Press published a stunning book of Lina's documentary work, Co-authored by two of the first women to work as railroad break-men in the 1970's. Railroad Voices, is an interplay of image and text revealing an inside view into the life on the railroad. Railroad Voices was a finalist for the Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor prize given by The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University.
Lina lives and works in New York and Chicago. She lectures and gives seminars in contemporary photographic practices in New York at the International Center for Photography, The New School and The School of Visual Arts. Lina is currently lecturing at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and UIC in Chicago.
